A Big Life: En Route

Sissy and her guest's get some tips and creative ideas on how to turn your next road trip into a Big adventure.
  1. Be prepared. When you're packing last minute it's easy to forget things so create a checklist. Including everything from clothing to juice boxes will make packing up the car a breeze.
  2. Bring the fun along! Before starting your trip check out your local dollar store for fun little games and toys. Dole them out as rewards for good behavior.
  3. Get snacking! Long car rides mean hungry kids. Have your kids make their own trail mix; they'll have fun making their snack and eating it later.
  4. Where you seat your kid's matters! Where you seat your children is important to a smooth ride. It's always best to keep kids with a shorter attention span near a window. For kids who tend to get carsick, make sure they focus their attention on something stationary. Save the middle seat for your most relaxed child.
